Character, series-
Megpoid, or "GUMI" ;; VOCALOID
Character journal-
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
Character type-
Technically, VOCALOID does not have primary or secondary or whatever types of characters. There are only those who are more popular, in relation to those who are not so popular. Sometimes that line is hazy, however; as she is part of the major group of 'loids, though? I'd put her at main or secondary.
Digimon partner-
Chibimon > V-mon > Fladramon > Raidramon Perfect > UlforceV-dramon
D-Comm colours/symbol-
Green, Orange, Black; symbol is a carrot.
Imported from another RP?-
that's a big N-O.
Character appearance-

Character age-
Chronolocial Age - Less than a year old.
Physical Age - There aren't really any sources that dictate Gumi's physical age; not even the VOCALOID wiki says anything in regards to that. She appears to be anywhere between seventeen to nineteen, though. The mun's sticking with nineteen.
Character history-
VOCALOIDs continued to gain popularity, and more of them just kept being produced. In the midst of the great crisis of 2009, where the VOCALOIDS and a few of the UTAU suddenly vanished, disappeared without a trace, preparations to release a new VOCALOID model, Megpoid, were still underway and going strong, despite protests from both fans and other employees in the company. So, in June of 2009, Megpoid was released, and was endearingly nicknamed 'Gumi' to make things easier. She was told all sorts of things about her family. She got to meet the few that remained, but longed to see the rest of her family, and the one sibling she was said to be closest to; her elder brother, Kamui Gakupo.
She got her wish when Gakupo unexpectedly returned. When he returned, he was babbling some nonsense about something known as the 'digital world,' and it was something many people didn't believe, including both the companies of Crypton and Yamaha. They thought that maybe there was some sort of trauma from the 'abduction,' but Gaku continued to insist that it was real, and that the others were there as well. Eventually, he calmed down, and was introduced to his new little sister, Gumi. Gaku and Gumi grew close, Gaku helping her learn the ways of the world, and even singing a little with her, as she launched her own career as part of the VOCALOID family.
And then, one day, Gaku disappeared again. At first, Gumi was devastated, but then she was taken, as well.
And she found out quickly that all Gaku had been saying about the digital world was all too real. She had a partner of her own, an Aruraumon, who she really enjoyed her time with. She got to meet her other siblings, and had an amazing time getting to know them and everything. And, she got to spend much more time with her beloved Onii-sama.
Gumi's time in the digital world was short-lived, however; she was brought back a little bit later, and stayed in Japan, picked her career as a VOCALOID back up, but it just wasn't the same. Even though she loved being back home, she wanted to be with her family even more, and at that point, most everyone had disappeared.
Several months later, Gumi disappeared again. She found herself in the digital world once more, and with a new partner, at that. As soon as she recognized the place, she set out to find her family.
... With a Chibimon on her head.
Character personality-
Hyperactive.
No, really. Gumi, having just been "born" nearly a year ago (June 2009), is still as curious and hyperactive as a small child. Don't put it past her to 'bounce off the walls,' and be about as loud as she possibly can. Despite the childlike quality about her, however, she is quite smart, and takes an interest in knowing just about everything she possibly can.
As with just about all of the other vocaloids and utau in the family, though? she cares a lot about her family, and her older brother, Kamui Gakupo, in particular. She idolizes him, and puts him above most others, though, don't mistake that; she loves and adores her entire family, too, and is also known to get into friendly competition with a good majority of them from time to time.
Gumi's favorite food in the entire world and universe and everything good and kind ... is carrots. If there is a carrot around? She wants it. Carrot cake? Yes. Stew with carrots? Yes. Anything with carrots? Oh, you bet. So it's also common to see her munching on a carrot, or raiding a community fridge for carrots, and perhaps even getting into trouble for raiding someone else's fridge for -- you guessed it! Carrots.
Around others, she's very nice, if not a little over-the-top with how loud she is. She defnitely tries to make an impression, and more often than not, she does. Definitely. Whether it's good or bad, though? That's up to the person on the receiving end.
Digimon personality-
The best way to describe Chibimon? "Echo." It's fairly common for Chibimon to echo the last thing that anyone says, and even more so for him to echo the last thing that his partner says, especially so if it's a declaration of some sort. He doesn't even know why he does it; perhaps it's to make him sound bigger. Maybe it's just an awful habit he picked up from some point in his life. Either way? He does it, and he doesn't seem to be trying to break the habit.
When he's not being an echo to his partner, or to anyone else, Chibimon's a high-spirited young 'mon who is about as hyperactive as his partner, and ready to do anything he can to help out. He's eager to try anything just about once, and if he doesn't like it? Well, he might shy away from that next time. He's a pretty nice digimon, very smart, though he doesn't show it often. He also has an amazing sense of what's right and what's wrong, and, by instinct, can often tell when something - or someone - isn't right.
Whiiiiich is a good thing, considering Gumi might not be able to pick up on that sort of thing fast enough.
Character abilities-
As an android, Gumi has enhanced strength, and can take quite a bit more damage, in comparison to any normal human. She also has really great vocal ability, and the kokoro program gives her the ability to be about as humanlike as possible, in the way that she can feel emotion, make her own decisions and think for herself, and do several things that any normal human can do, while, of course, she still lacks a lot of human abilities. She has a pretty awesome amount of expertise with computers, and is also a very gifted hacker.
She's not a weapon; she doesn't have any fighting ability whatsoever, though she'd probably like to pretend she does at times. other than the things listed above, there really isn't anything too terribly special about the girl.
Sample RP-
"So I'm back. Really back."
"You've been here before?"
"This is the digital world?"
"Yeah! How'd you know?"
"I've been here before."
"AWESOME."
Gumi scratched her head, looking around. The place she was in now was one she had never been in during her time in the digital world before, but she knew that this had to be the digital world. She knew. There was a digimon right here, talking to her. And claiming to be her partner.
But then, what happened to Aruaumon? Gumi bit her lip, then sighed.
Well ... no use in thinking about that right now. Especially when she had other matters to worry about. An expression of determination crossed her face, and she pulled her goggles down over her eyes.
"ALL RIGHT! Chibimon, right?"
"Right!"
"ARE YOU READY?"
"YEAH-- wait, for what?"
Gumi grinned, giving an enthusiastic thumbs-up to Chibimon.
"I have family here! OUR MISSION, SHOULD WE CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT-- which, by the way, we are -- IS TO FIND MY FAMILY MEMBERS, AND ENSURE THEIR SAFETY AND LOCATION IN THIS WORLD. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, SOLDIER?"
"MA'AM, YES MA'AM!" Chibimon responded, then scampered up Gumi's arm, perching on her shoulder and looking up at her.
"Where do we start?"
Gumi stood, and flipped out the D-Comm.
"With this, of course!"
Chibimon facefaulted off of her shoulder.
